The settlement of Andriivka, located in the Sumy region, remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Reports of its capture by Russian forces are false. This was stated by the Communications Center of the military grouping 'Kursk' on Facebook.
'Andriivka has always been and continues to be under the full control of the 'Kursk' grouping. Therefore, there can be no talk of any occupation. We urge everyone to maintain information hygiene, critically assess messages from unreliable sources, and trust only official data,' the statement reads.
It is noted that the enemy is indeed attempting to expand its occupation zone in the Sumy region, but so far this has not been successful.
The 'Kursk' grouping also requests that unverified information, especially concerning sensitive issues related to combat operations, should not be disseminated.
'Always remember that the enemy seeks to mislead you and instill fear and panic among Ukrainians,' emphasized the Communications Center.
On the front lines, 275 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the previous day, January 7.
