The air defense forces of Ukraine successfully shot down 70 out of 97 drones launched by Russian forces on the evening of January 7. This information was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
From 7:00 PM on January 7, Russian troops attacked with 97 strike UAVs, including Shahed, "Herbera", and other types, from various directions: Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), Chauda, Hvardiyiske (temporarily occupied Crimea), and temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 70 of them were Shahed drones.
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 8:00 AM on Thursday, January 8, air defense had shot down 70 drones of various types in eastern and southern Ukraine.
There were 27 confirmed hits of strike UAVs at 13 locations, as well as debris from downed drones at one location.
