The rescue operation in Chernihiv has been completed following a Russian missile strike on a residential building on December 25.
This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Chernihiv Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi.
“The operation is over. Unfortunately, one person has died. I extend my condolences to the family of the deceased. Ten people were injured, and four have been rescued,” Bryzhynskyi noted.
According to him, heat, gas, and electricity have been restored in 60 apartments of the building that suffered the most damage. 25 apartments remain without heating. Repair teams are on-site and are doing everything possible to restore heating in as many apartments as possible today.
Bryzhynskyi clarified that a total of 164 apartments were damaged, including two that were completely destroyed.
More than 150 people participated in the rescue operation.
The head of the Military Administration expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the rescue efforts.
As reported, on December 25, Russian forces struck a multi-story building in Chernihiv. One person died, and 10 were injured, including three children.
