On December 25, the Ukrainian Air Forces successfully conducted a strike using Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles against the Novoshakhtinsk oil plant located in Russia's Rostov region. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
“Numerous explosions have been recorded. The target has been struck. The extent of the damage is being assessed,” the report stated.
The General Staff noted that the Novoshakhtinsk plant is one of the largest suppliers of petroleum products in southern Russia and is directly involved in supporting the armed forces of the Russian Federation. The facility supplies diesel fuel and aviation kerosene to the Russian army.
The total capacity of the plant's tanks exceeds 210,000 cubic meters.
“The Ukrainian defense forces continue to take necessary measures to undermine the military-economic potential of the Russian invaders and compel the Russian Federation to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine,” emphasized the General Staff.
In the night of December 25, the Ukrainian Armed Forces also targeted the infrastructure of the “Temryuk” seaport in the Krasnodar region and a military airfield near the city of Maykop.
