During the recent assault by Russian forces on Ukraine, air defense units successfully neutralized 106 out of 131 drones launched on the evening of December 24. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
Starting from 19:00 on Wednesday, December 24, the aggressors launched an attack using 131 strike drones of types Shahed, «Gerbera», and others originating from the regions: Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), Donetsk (temporarily occupied territories), Hvardiyiske, Chayuda (temporarily occupied Crimea), with about 90 of them being Shahed types.
To counter the aerial assault, aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drones, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces were engaged.
Preliminary data as of 08:30 Thursday, December 25, indicates that air defense shot down or suppressed 106 drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
22 strike drones were recorded hitting 15 different locations.
At night, Russian aggressors struck the port and industrial infrastructure in the Odesa region, causing one fatality and two injuries.
