The air defense forces have neutralized 131 out of 149 drones that Russian troops used to attack Ukraine on the evening of December 7. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via their Telegram channel.
According to the information, after 6:00 PM on December 7, the Russians launched 149 attacking UAVs, including Shahed, "Gerbera," and other types, from directions such as Bryansk, Orel, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (RF), temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 90 of them were Shahed drones.
The attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and drone systems, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Preliminary data as of 9:00 AM on Monday, December 8, indicates that the air defense shot down 131 drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
Hits were recorded on 11 sites involving 16 attacking UAVs, along with debris from downed targets falling in four locations.
The assault continues, with several enemy drones still in the airspace.
On the night of December 8, Russian Shahed drones attacked the Okhtyrka community in the Sumy region, injuring at least seven people.
