The air defense units successfully intercepted 106 of the 136 drones launched by Russian forces against Ukraine starting from the evening of November 19. This information was shared by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via their Telegram channel.
Beginning at 18:00 on November 19, the enemy initiated an assault on Ukraine using 136 combat drones of various types, including Shahed, launched from multiple directions: Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Bryansk, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and Hvardiyiske (temporarily occupied Crimea). Approximately 80 of these were Shahed drones.
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30 on Thursday, November 20, the air defense had shot down/neutralized 106 drones in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
There were confirmed hits of 29 drones across 16 locations, as well as debris from shot-down drones at three sites.
The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in the airspace.
