The F-16 fighter jets in Ukraine have achieved remarkable results, intercepting over 1300 aerial targets and destroying more than 300 ground objects. This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force via Telegram.
The F-16s first appeared in Ukrainian skies in August 2024, marking a significant milestone for the country's aviation - a serious advancement in enhancing the capabilities of the Air Force. Quickly mastering the new technology, Ukrainian pilots have turned it into a powerful tool against the aggressor.
By implementing innovative approaches to aerial combat, Ukrainian crews are demonstrating consistently high results in repelling enemy attacks. Notably, during the repulsion of a Russian strike on November 19, F-16 and Mirage-2000 pilots intercepted and shot down at least 10 enemy cruise missiles.
In addition to air defense missions, these aircraft are actively used for ground support. F-16 pilots have successfully targeted over 300 ground objects, eliminating hundreds of enemy vehicles, command posts, UAV control points, ammunition depots, and logistical hubs.
F-16 pilots and ground support personnel work daily under extremely challenging conditions. Their primary concern is the uninterrupted and timely supply of aviation munitions from Western partners. Without a sufficient quantity of bombs and missiles, F-16s will not be able to ensure victory over the enemy, emphasized the Air Force.
It is important to note that air defense forces have neutralized 442 drones, 34 X-101 cruise missiles, and seven Kalibr missiles that Russia used to attack Ukraine since 6:00 PM on November 18.
