The Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully neutralized 406 drones and nine missiles launched by Russian forces in an attack on November 7th evening. This information was shared by the Air Force of Ukraine via Telegram.
Starting from 18:30 on Friday, November 7th, the enemy launched a combined strike against critical infrastructure targets in Ukraine using aerial drones and missiles of various types.
In total, the radio-technical troops of the Air Force detected and tracked 503 aerial threats – 45 missiles (of which 32 were ballistic) and 458 UAVs of different types (approximately 300 of which were Shahed-type drones):
- 458 strike UAVs including Shahed and other types from directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and Hvardiske (temporarily occupied Crimea);
- 25 ballistic missiles "Iskander-M/KN-23" (from Kursk, Voronezh, Rostov regions);
- 10 cruise missiles "Iskander-K" (from Kursk and Voronezh regions);
- seven aeroballistic missiles X-47M2 "Kinzhal" (from Tambov region);
- three cruise missiles "Kalibr" (from the Black Sea).
The main attack directions were Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava regions.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, UAV systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 10:00 on Saturday, November 8th, the air defense had shot down/neutralized 415 aerial targets: 406 drones and 9 various missiles.
Detected impacts of 26 missiles and 52 strike drones on 25 locations, with debris from downed objects falling in four different regions of Ukraine.
