Since the onset of the full-scale war, Russian forces have killed 661 children and injured over 2200. This was reported by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko on Telegram.
On the 1342nd day of the war, prosecutors are investigating 5363 criminal cases related to these crimes.
During this period, Russia has: killed 661 children; injured 2203 children; destroyed or damaged over 4500 schools and 1294 hospitals; kidnapped and deported more than 19 thousand Ukrainian children; committed at least 23 acts of sexual violence against children, Kravchenko stated.
He emphasized that each case is evidence of a deliberate policy of terror aimed at the destruction of Ukrainians as a nation.
The Prosecutor General noted that UN Security Council Resolution No. 1261 identifies six of the most serious crimes against children during wartime, and assured that all six are being committed by Russia daily in Ukraine before the eyes of the world.
The head of the Office of the Prosecutor General reported that Ukrainian prosecutors, along with law enforcement agencies and international partners, are thoroughly investigating each crime.
"We will do everything possible to ensure that all war criminals, from perpetrators to the leadership of Russia, are held accountable. Time will not be an obstacle. These crimes have no statute of limitations," he added.
