The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has published a video showcasing the elimination of Russian army commander Vasily Marzoev in the Zaporizhzhia region, son of Lieutenant General Arkadiy Marzoev, involved in war crimes against Ukrainians. This information was shared via the GUR Telegram channel.

On October 15, 2025, Ukrainian forces, part of a combined UAV unit, discovered the position of Russian drone operators in the village of Plavni during reconnaissance in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

"Based on the coordinates obtained, a guided bomb was successfully launched to eliminate Russian aggressors. At the time of the strike, there was Moscow lieutenant Vasily Marzoev, commander of a platoon in the 108th Airborne Assault Regiment of the 7th Air Assault Division of the Russian occupying army", - stated the GUR.

The video features exclusive footage of the destruction of Marzoev and other Russian invaders.

The GUR noted that the eliminated Marzoev is the son of Lieutenant General Arkadiy Marzoev, commander of the 18th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, who is implicated in war crimes against Ukrainian civilians in Kherson.

It is worth noting that the Security Service of Ukraine has documented the crimes of five other senior officers of the Russian Armed Forces involved in mass shelling of the liberated part of Kherson region, including General Arkadiy Marzoev.
