On October 14, Russian forces launched an attack on a humanitarian mission in the Kherson region, reported Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the regional military administration.
According to him, Russian troops opened fire on trucks belonging to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Bilozerska community.
“Four white vehicles marked as non-military equipment were carrying aid to people,” Prokudin stated.
He clarified that one vehicle was destroyed by fire, while another sustained significant damage. Two trucks managed to escape the shelling. Fortunately, no one was injured.
“Today, the 'second army' of the world destroyed several tons of humanitarian aid. There’s not much more to say about terrorists here,” Prokudin commented.
The press service of the UN OCHA in Ukraine has not yet reported on the incident.
Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions using various types of weapons, including strike drones, missiles, and multiple launch rocket systems.
