Summary of Attacks in Sumy Region

A report on the attacks that occurred in the Sumy region from October 2 to October 3, focusing on the damage to civilian infrastructure.

During the day from October 2 to October 3, Russian forces conducted 35 attacks on 19 settlements across eight communities in the Sumy region. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration via Facebook.
The most attacks were recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
The under-fire settlements included those in the Sumy, Mykolaiv, Khotyn, Yunakiv, Krasnopillia, Shostka, Esman, and Andriashivka communities.
The enemy actively used guided aviation bombs, delivering over 10 KAB strikes.
Additionally, strikes were carried out with FPV drones, multiple rocket launchers, missile strikes, and UAVs across the Sumy territory.

Damage was inflicted on civilian infrastructure:

  • in the Esman community, a private house was damaged;
  • in the Shostka community, a civil infrastructure object was hit;
  • in the Mykolaiv rural community, a private residential house was damaged;
  • in the Sumy community, a private residential house was damaged;
  • in the Andriashivka community, several private houses and agricultural buildings were affected.

Throughout the day, local authorities, together with the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organizations, evacuated four individuals from border communities.
During the day, the air raid alert lasted for 18 hours and 22 minutes.
