The Ukrainian Defense Forces are monitoring the movement of Russian military equipment linked to ongoing exercises in Belarus.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a joint media briefing with Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

"The military exercises of Russia and Belarus have effectively begun. We are closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine. Our military is detecting the movement of Russian equipment and the buildup of military infrastructure. The nature of these actions by Russia is clearly not defensive and is directed against not just Ukraine. Every country in Europe can feel that Russia has the capability to continue and expand its aggression. Therefore, decisive steps are needed — strong pressure that will genuinely limit the aggressive potential of the Russian Federation," he said.

Zelensky also noted that during his meeting with the Finnish leader, they paid significant attention to the drone attack carried out by Russia on Poland.

"Nearly twenty drones were launched, in my opinion, deliberately. We have a complete analysis of their flight trajectory. More details are emerging about the design of the drones used by Russia. All of this indicates that the launch of these drones into Polish territory via Ukraine and Belarus was premeditated and definitely not coincidental," he emphasized.

The President stated that after numerous hybrid attacks by Russia against European countries and mass attacks on Ukraine, there have been no strong, tangible responses that would force Russia to seek peace.

"Such steps are important. And in our opinion, these steps are feasible," he added.
