In the morning of August 19, Nizhyn was targeted by Russian forces using strike drones. A 45-year-old man lost his life as a result.

Vyacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, reported the incident.

“In the morning, the enemy attacked Nizhyn with strike drones. Unfortunately, a local resident, a civilian man, was killed. He was 45 years old,” Chaus stated.

According to him, the drones also damaged infrastructure. Some localities are experiencing power supply issues. Currently, energy workers and rescuers are working on restoration efforts.
