A drone strike in Kharkiv resulted in civilian injuries and a significant fire at an office building.

On the night of August 8, a Russian drone struck a civilian facility in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv, causing a fire that spread across 500 square meters. Two civilians were injured.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service (SES) and the head of Kharkiv Regional Administration, Oleg Synegubov.

Direct quote from Synegubov: "Around 11:55 PM, we recorded a strike on the territory of a civilian enterprise. As a result of the shelling, the roof and technical floor covering an area of 500 sq. m caught fire. The fire was extinguished."

Details: It was reported that due to the nighttime attack, two civilians were affected - a man born in 1959 and a woman born in 1962, both experiencing acute stress reactions. They were provided with necessary assistance.

The SES noted that following the strike on the civilian facility in the Saltivskyi district, a fire broke out in a four-story office building: the roof structure and technical floor were ablaze.

Fifty firefighters, a bomb disposal unit from SES, and 13 units of equipment were involved in firefighting efforts.
