On the evening of August 7, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 104 Shahed drones, various imitation drones, and 8 jet drones. Although 82 targets were neutralized, there were still hits recorded.

According to their report, as of 8:00 AM, air defense had downed or suppressed 82 aerial targets: 3 jet drones and 79 enemy Shahed drones and imitation drones detected in the north, south, east, and center of the country. There were 26 drone hits reported in 10 locations, along with debris from downed drones scattered across 8 sites.
The invaders launched drones from Russian cities, including Shatalovo, Kursk, Bryansk, and Primorsk-Akhtarsk, as well as from Cape Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The air assault was repelled by aviation forces, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.
