In the night of August 6, Ukrainian defense forces successfully eliminated 36 Russian drones in the skies over Ukraine, with hits on nine enemy targets recorded at three different locations.
This information was confirmed by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via their Telegram channel.
According to military reports, starting from 8:30 PM on Tuesday, August 5, Russian aggressors launched a total of 45 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones from the directions of their cities Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and drone systems of the Ukrainian defense forces.
As of 9:00 AM Wednesday, it was preliminarily established that air defense shot down/jammed 36 enemy drones of the Shahed type and imitation drones of various types in the north, south, and east of the country.
In addition to the hits on nine UAVs at three locations, the fall of debris from the downed targets was also recorded at one site.
