Starting August 6, air raid alerts in the Sumy region will be issued by districts instead of the entire region, as it was previously done.
This was announced by the head of OVA Oleg Grygorov on Facebook.
"In response to requests from communities and business representatives, the Sumy OVA initiated the implementation of a zonal air raid alert system. We engaged in dialogue with the central government, and they agreed to our proposal. As of today, a new differentiated alert system has been put into operation in the Sumy region," - the regional head noted.
According to Grygorov, from now on, the alarm will only sound in the districts that are under direct threat.
"When alerts last for 12 to 15 hours a day, it significantly complicates life and work. The zonal alert system reduces this burden and ensures the stable functioning of business, healthcare, education, and other vital sectors," - explained the head of OVA.
