Injured Individuals in Zaporizhzhia Following Drone Attack

Latest updates on the individuals injured as a result of the drone attack in Zaporizhzhia.

In Zaporizhzhia, 20 individuals were injured due to a drone strike.

This was reported by the National Police via their Telegram channel.

«As of 15:10, 20 injured individuals have been identified, aged between 19 and 84 years», the statement reads. 

The police received 44 reports concerning injuries and damage to property and homes.

Local police and municipal services are currently on-site.

The State Emergency Service reports on Facebook that rescuers are addressing the aftermath of the Russian shelling.

«Rescuers are working simultaneously at three sites. Residential buildings, an administrative building, and a facility of a higher educational institution were on fire. The blast wave has destroyed surrounding residential structures», the message states.

Rescue teams have extinguished all fire sources. Currently, they are dismantling and cooling structures to prevent further fires.

The head of the emergency medical department at a medical facility in Zaporizhzhia, Tetiana Kravchenko, shared with journalists that 11 injured individuals were admitted to hospitals.

«These patients are aged between 20 and 66 years, including 6 women and 5 men. All patients are assessed to have moderate injuries with combined trauma: closed head injuries, concussions, acoustic trauma, burns on upper and lower limbs, and shrapnel wounds. Five patients have been hospitalized in specialized departments and are currently receiving necessary treatment in the hospital. Another 5 patients have been examined and referred for outpatient care», Kravchenko said.

She added that the condition of all injured individuals is stable, and medical staff are actively treating them. There are currently no life-threatening conditions. No surgical interventions have been performed yet.
