The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, paid tribute to the victims of the Russian attack on a residential building in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv.

The head of state laid flowers at the site of the attack, where Russia struck on the night of June 17. As a result of this shelling, 23 residents lost their lives.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported to the President that search operations at the site had been completed. More than 400 rescuers and over 200 units of equipment were involved in the aftermath of the attack. According to him, 500 residents have filed applications for documenting their loss of housing.

Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, informed that over 1000 people sought help from the district headquarters, where they are receiving all necessary support.

Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba reported that a technical inspection of the building is currently underway. If a major reconstruction is not feasible, people will receive compensation for their destroyed homes.

That night, Russia launched a combined massive attack on Ukraine, employing 440 Shahed drones and 32 missiles. In Kyiv, houses were damaged in eight districts due to the assault.

This attack claimed the lives of 28 people in the capital. A total of 142 residents were injured, including six children.
