Innovative Cruise Control Feature for Drones by VYRIY

VYRIY has introduced a new "cruise control"

The Ukrainian company VYRIY has launched a novel "cruise control" mode in its series of drones, which serves as a systematic software solution. This innovation enhances the resilience of drones against electronic warfare (EW) and significantly increases the percentage of completed missions, even in cases of temporary loss of control. This is stated in the company’s official press release.
According to the manufacturer, the "cruise control" mode autonomously maintains flight speed and altitude without the need for constant operator intervention. In the event of a temporary communication loss, the drone continues its flight along a stable trajectory, and once communication is restored, the operator can adjust the course and altitude. This feature allows drones to effectively navigate areas affected by both friendly and enemy electronic warfare systems.
Furthermore, the "cruise control" feature reduces the risk of uncontrolled drone falls, decreases the likelihood of equipment loss, and optimizes energy consumption, thereby extending mission duration. This solution will be available on all new models starting December 1, 2025, without any increase in drone costs.
"We are the first in Ukraine to implement such a solution at the systemic level. It was developed in response to military requests and, according to our estimates, will enhance the drones' resilience to electronic interference by approximately 20%," noted the engineers at VYRIY.
It is important to mention that this solution has successfully passed internal testing and field trials involving combat units.
Earlier, VYRIY launched a scholarship program for students pursuing engineering degrees in the defense technology sector, providing financial support to 35 talented young specialists for six months.
