The humanoid robot A2, developed by AgiBot, has completed an astounding journey of 106,286 km, setting a new record in the Guinness World Records. This was reported by Gizmodo.

The journey took place from November 10 to 13, and the robot never powered down thanks to its advanced battery swap system. Its route stretched from Lake Jinji in Jiangsu province to the Bund waterfront in Shanghai.

AgiBot released a video featuring highlights, although it does not show all the details of the journey. Reports indicate that the robot navigated on foot through the city, overcoming various types of terrain, slopes, and operating under limited visibility conditions.

A2 adhered to traffic regulations. AgiBot stated that "the robot was equipped with two GPS modules, a built-in lidar, and infrared depth cameras, providing it with the sensory capabilities needed for accurate navigation in changing light conditions and complex urban environments".

According to the official Guinness World Records entry, AgiBot A2 underwent optimization between April and May 2025 to prevent falls during hundreds of hours of continuous operation. On August 17, the robot also successfully completed a fully autonomous 24-hour journey in high temperatures nearing 40°C.
