An event titled «Digital Europe: New Opportunities for Ukrainian Businesses» took place in Ukraine, focusing on the progress of the EU program «Digital Europe». This program supports the development of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and cloud solutions for Ukrainian enterprises.
Since 2022, Ukrainian organizations have been actively seeking funding under the «Digital Europe» program. As of now:
- 19 grant agreements have been signed;
- 75 organizations are participating in the program;
- Ukrainian institutions have attracted 7.2 million euros for joint digital projects with European partners.
Among the organizations that have received funding are: Diya State Enterprise, the «Lviv IT Cluster» Association, the Polissia National University, and the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute».
One of the key support tools is the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), established in Ukraine through this program. These hubs assist businesses in implementing technologies and attracting investments. During the event, hubs such as Eastern Ukraine EDIH, CentralUkrainianEDIH, and others shared their experiences in areas like energy, healthcare, and digital technologies.
Companies can seek support from the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development, which serves as the national contact point for the «Digital Europe» program. The Diya.Business portal offers:
- Free consultations on grant opportunities;
- A series of webinars on digital innovations;
- Grant competitions under the EU program.
Participation in the program until 2027 allows access to funding for digitalization in various areas, including artificial intelligence and digital skills. A budget of 6 billion euros has been allocated for these purposes. Digitalization not only drives economic growth but also serves as a crucial tool against corruption by enhancing process transparency.
