In April, YouTube once again topped the list of platforms for viewing on smart TVs. According to the latest Nielsen report, 12.4% of the time users spent watching content was on Google's service.

This platform has now remained the most popular for three consecutive months, achieving the highest share of user watch time. Other platforms in the ranking maintained their positions for the first time since Nielsen began tracking in 2023.

In the top five, Disney, which features the most popular series of April, "Grey's Anatomy," Paramount with the largest growth compared to the previous month, as well as NBC Universal and Netflix, also made the cut.

It is worth noting that in February, reports emerged indicating that more users began watching YouTube on TVs, resulting in smartphones no longer being the primary platform. This aligns with the company's vision, which is preparing updates to allow YouTube to display content from other streaming services.

Podcasts, which are actively published on YouTube, also contribute to this trend. According to Google, more than 1 billion people watch them monthly.
