Ukrainian gymnast Nazar Chepurnyi secured a silver medal in the vault at the World Cup stage held in Cairo, Egypt.
He scored 14.166 points, which placed him in second position.
Although he had a chance for gold, a fall during the parallel bars routine prevented him from achieving the top score.
It is noteworthy that vaulting is Chepurnyi's specialty, where he has already earned bronze at the 2023 World Championships and bronze at the 2024 European Championships. Previously, at the stage in Qatar, he also won silver.
This marks Chepurnyi's second medal at this stage, as he had earlier claimed bronze in the floor exercise.
At the 2024 Olympic Games, Chepurnyi qualified for the final in first place but could only secure sixth place during the decisive attempts.
