Ukrainian mixed martial artist Anna Hyria has been awarded the title of best amateur athlete of the year by the International MMA Federation. This was reported by the MMA Federation of Ukraine.
In February 2025, she became the world champion in Tbilisi in the category up to 47.6 kg. Additionally, in February, Anna also won a gold medal at the European Championships.
Another award at the annual IMMAF Athlete Award was given to Maria Klein, who triumphed in the category of "Youth Athlete of the Year".
This athlete, a forced displaced person from Orekhiv, recently became the world champion in the weight category up to 56.7 kg among youth.
