On October 17-18, a seminar organized by the Association of Olympians of Ukraine was held in the Zhytomyr region. This event brought together Olympic athletes, representatives from regional offices of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, and the local sports community. The seminar featured engaging discussions, interactions with youth, and significant social and environmental initiatives.
Numerous renowned Ukrainian Olympians actively participated in the seminar. The President of the NOC of Ukraine, Vadym Hutsait, also attended, wishing the participants a fruitful and productive collaboration.
A special focus was given to meetings with young athletes: an inspiring conversation took place at the Zhytomyr Regional Sports Lyceum between seminar participants and students. During this meeting, a tree alley was planted, with each tree named after the Olympian who planted it.
Athletes also visited the "Avangard" sports complex, where they interacted with trainees from sections of modern pentathlon, swimming, wrestling, judo, kickboxing, and cheerleading. As part of the seminar, participants attended the opening of the Zhytomyr Regional Championships in freestyle wrestling and swimming, supporting young athletes and inspiring them for future victories.
The NOC of Ukraine team sincerely thanks the Association of Olympians of Ukraine, led by Nina Umanyets, for the excellent organization of the seminar, and expresses gratitude to the NOC of Ukraine in Zhytomyr for their support.
