The basketball season has officially begun in Ukraine. Three teams from the capital kicked off their campaigns in both the men's and women's Superleague.
MEN'S SUPERLEAGUE — BC “KYIV-BASKET”
The Ukrainian basketball championship in the Superleague consists of two stages. In the first stage, all ten teams will compete against each other in a round-robin format. The top eight teams will advance to the playoffs. “Kyiv-Basket” has already played four matches and won all of them.

At the moment, “Kyiv-Basket” is at the top of the Superleague table.
WOMEN'S SUPERLEAGUE — “KYIV-BASKET” AND “BUDIVELNYK”
In the women's Superleague for the 2025/2026 season, there are only five teams, two of which are from Kyiv — “Kyiv-Basket” and “Budivelnyk.” Similar to the men's league, the format includes a regular stage followed by playoffs. In the first stage, teams will also play in four rounds, and in the second stage, they will compete in the playoffs, starting from the semifinals with four teams.
So far, only one round has taken place in the women's Superleague, during which the Kyiv teams faced each other twice. In both instances, the players of “Budivelnyk” emerged victorious.
