21-year-old defender Ivan Shamardin has signed with the vice-champions of Ukraine, Kyiv Capitals.
This was confirmed by the club's press service.
Ivan is a product of Kharkiv hockey, starting his career at Rulav Odd. He later played for Hungarian DVTK Jegesmedvek, Polish UHT Sabers, and Italian Alleghe, where he accumulated 11 points (2+9) in the 2024/2025 season. Shamardin has also represented Ukraine at the youth and U20 levels.
As a reminder, the team will compete in the open championship of Latvia next season, as previously announced by the club's manager. Kyiv Capitals has already established its coaching staff.
