WTA Ranking Update: Ukrainian Tennis Players Make Progress

An overview of the latest changes in the WTA ranking, highlighting the achievements of Ukrainian tennis players.

On August 8, the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) released its latest ranking update.

Elina Svitolina, Ukraine's top player, remained in the 13th position despite reaching the quarterfinals in Montreal. Leading the ranking is Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka.

In the top ten, American Madison Keys climbed from eighth to sixth place, while Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina returned to the top 10 following her semifinal run at the Canadian tournament.

Marta Kostyuk, who reached the quarterfinals, advanced to the 27th position, and Dayana Yastremska, after reaching the fourth round, moved up four spots to 31st.

Yuliia Starodubtseva, who played in the third round, jumped ten places, achieving a personal best at 63rd.

Angelina Kalinina remains at 132nd. Daria Snigur moved up 17 positions (176th), overtaking Oleksandra Oliynykova, who dropped 15 spots (191st). Anastasia Soboleva fell to 237th.
