Ukrainian artistic swimmer Darya Moshynska made her debut at the Euro-2025 finals held in Funchal, Portugal. She showcased her skills in the technical solo program.
Leading up to the competition, Darya secured a silver medal in the team event, boosting her confidence. This marked her first solo performance at this level, and Ukraine last participated in such events in 2022 when Marta Fedina secured gold in both programs.
A total of 16 artistic swimmers from various countries competed in the solo category. Among her competitors were world champion 2023 Iris Tio from Spain, silver medalist of the 2022 World Championship Enrica Piccoli from Italy, as well as Clara Bleher from Germany, the winner of the World Championship 2024 Super Final.
Prior to the finals, Moshynska was among the favorites, having already won silver in the technical solo program at the World Cup stage in Sombae.
What were the competition results?
- Darya received a total of 229.4417 points for her performance, including 133.4917 for execution and 95.9500 for artistry.
- She finished in seventh place in the final standings, trailing third place by more than 19 points.
- The competition was won by Austrian swimmer Vasiliki-Pagona Alexandri, who outperformed her closest competitor Iris Tio from Spain by more than eight points. Clara Bleher from Germany secured the third spot.
