On May 29, a remarkable tour began in Lviv, celebrating the achievements of three renowned Ukrainian footballers: Oleg Blokhin, Igor Belanov, and Andriy Shevchenko.
The awards will be showcased in 11 cities across Ukraine. This tour is organized by ROZETKA in honor of its founding anniversary.
Schedule and Details of the Golden Ball Tour in Ukraine
The exhibition in Lviv will run until June 1 (from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM) at Rynok Square, 1, near the Lviv City Hall.
After Lviv, the Golden Balls will head to Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Dnipro, Poltava, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Lutsk.
Additionally, ROZETKA will present a charity pop-up where specially created products will be available for purchase.
Among these items are golden footballs, t-shirts, bottles, and posters with facsimile signatures of the three award winners.
“All profits from the sales will go toward the children's tournament 'School Ball' organized by the Ukrainian Football Association,” commented ROZETKA co-founder Vladyslav Chechotkin.
The President of the Ukrainian Football Association, Andriy Shevchenko, stated that the project's goal is to inspire young Ukrainians to engage in football and demonstrate that nothing is impossible.
Remember, in December 2024, a journalist from Kyiv Post attended the grand opening of the installation commemorating the 20th anniversary of Shevchenko's Golden Ball win.
“Soon it will be 50 years since I won the first 'Golden Ball' for Ukraine... I believe there is a child among us who will bring Ukraine a fourth 'Golden Ball',” said Oleg Blokhin.
“I am happy that all three 'Golden Balls' are together today to support Ukrainians. I believe there are many talented children among our youth, and the next 'Golden Ball' for Ukraine is just a matter of time,” noted Igor Belanov.
The exhibition schedule for the Golden Balls will be published on ROZETKA's Instagram page.
Please note that in case of an air raid alert, the exhibition will cease operations, and visitors are required to proceed to a shelter.
