MBC Niko-Basket, which will compete in the Ukrainian Super League this season, has announced the signing of 21-year-old guard Maksym Safonov, who previously played for Kyiv-Basket.

This information was confirmed by the press service of the Mykolaiv club.

Last season, Safonov became the vice-champion while playing for Kyiv-Basket, averaging 4.4 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game over 36 matches.

Maksym is a product of Niko-Basket and in the 2022/23 season, he became a champion while playing for Budivelnyk, and he also has experience with Lviv Polytechnic-Halychyna.

Recently, Niko-Basket announced the extension of the contract with forward Mykhailo Mitrich.
