In Kyiv, 100 students from grades 8 to 11 will receive new scholarships of 1,000 hryvnias per month for their achievements in Olympiads and competitions. This decision was made by the Kyiv City Council and will take effect from September 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. This was announced by Valentyn Mondryivskyi, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration.

“These initiatives emphasize the importance of developing education in Kyiv. Scholarships encourage students to participate in various intellectual competitions, enhancing the prestige of education in the capital,” Mondryivskyi stated.

The scholarship payments will be funded by the Kyiv budget.

The decision to grant scholarships was adopted by the Kyiv City Council in 2022 to support gifted youth and stimulate their development.
