On December 5, the Kyiv City Council made a decision to merge the Kyiv Professional College of Construction and Architecture with the Kyiv Professional College of Construction and Utility Services. This was announced by Valentyn Mondriivskyi, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
According to Mondriivskyi, the institutions are located on adjacent land in the Sviatoshynskyi district, allowing for the integration of their territories into a unified sports area and shared educational facilities. This decision is expected to lower the cost of training each student by increasing the total number of students to 1,400.
“It is a rational decision to merge two similar institutions. This reform will help optimize resource use, create a comprehensive educational environment, including a full-fledged sports complex, and enhance the financial viability of the institution. It will also contribute to the improvement of education quality by aligning training directions with the needs of the capital's labor market,” commented Valentyn Mondriivskyi.
The teaching staff of both institutions will be retained. The newly formed educational institution will be named “Kyiv Professional College of Construction Technologies and Services.”
