Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a memorandum of intent with the USA concerning mineral extraction could be signed online today.

The head of state noted that recently the American side expressed interest in revisiting the memorandum while lawyers work on the details of the agreement regarding natural resources.

"We have positive and constructive intentions, and this is evident. Therefore, the memorandum, which is not the final agreement, can be signed online today," Zelensky emphasized.

He also added that Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko is currently working with American counterparts on the text of the memorandum.

"The memorandum is an important first step, and both countries should agree on it," the president stated.

Previously, Svyrydenko announced the signing of a memorandum with the USA, which will precede an agreement on mineral resources.

She noted that significant progress has been made in negotiations regarding the mineral agreement.
