Technical consultations between Ukrainian and American teams regarding the mineral agreement will begin on Friday, April 11.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Stefanishyna during a press conference in Brussels, as reported by "European Truth".
Stefanishyna informed that the consultations involving teams from the Ministries of Justice and Economy of Ukraine will take place in Washington on April 11.
When asked by a journalist about the details of these consultations, she stated that she cannot comment on them at this time.
"I am unable to discuss any details because the meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, but I will be able to provide comments afterward," said Stefanishyna.
She emphasized that nothing in the agreement can be the subject of negotiations with Ukraine in a way that undermines Ukraine's existing obligations, including financial ones, under the European macro-financial assistance program from the IMF.
"This is not subject to any negotiation format, which means that corresponding adjustments must be made to the agreement format later," she added.
As known, following negotiations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on March 11, the presidents of the USA and Ukraine reached an agreement regarding the development of critical mineral resources in Ukraine.
Stefanishyna had previously stated that the framework agreement with the USA regarding mineral resources is finalized, and Ukraine is ready to sign it at any time.
On March 24, Trump announced that the agreement on rare earth metals with Ukraine would be signed "soon," and President Zelensky mentioned that the United States offered Ukraine a new version of the agreement on minerals, which would immediately require ratification in parliament outside the original framework agreement.
