With his extensive experience in Ukraine and return to the capital amid war, this visit carries significant importance.
Today, February 10, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Alexandru Muntean, arrived in Kyiv. According to the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia, the train arrived "exactly on schedule".
This is Muntean's first official visit to Ukraine since taking office. He has worked in Ukraine for over twenty years as an investment banker and witnessed the onset of the full-scale war in Kyiv.
"The welcoming meeting was described as symbolic: 'Bine ați revenit! We are glad to welcome you back!,' noted Ukrzaliznytsia.
During the visit, negotiations are expected with the Ukrainian government on economic and investment cooperation, as well as discussions on supporting Ukraine during these challenging wartime circumstances.
It is worth noting that earlier, Kyiv was visited by UK Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy. His visit marked the anniversary of the signing of the century-long partnership agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom. Discussions focused on furthering cooperation between the two countries.
