European Parliament President Visits Kyiv

Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, visited Kyiv, highlighting support for Ukraine.

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, has arrived in Kyiv, where she met with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, at the railway station.

This visit was announced via her social media.

Stefanchuk emphasized that Metsola's visit is a significant sign of unity and support for Ukraine.

Previously, Metsola announced her trip to the capital of Ukraine on social media platform X.

"Next stop: Kyiv," she wrote, sharing a photo next to a Ukrainian train.

Later, she posted a picture of her meeting with Stefanchuk.

"Back in Kyiv. After 1300 days since the aggression began, I am here in Ukraine with a strong message of support from the European Parliament. Just as we stood with you from day one, we will continue to stand by your side," Metsola wrote.

According to the press service of the European Parliament, Metsola has scheduled meetings with President Volodymyr Zelensky, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, and leaders of parliamentary factions. She will also give a speech to the Ukrainian parliament.

Additionally, Metsola is set to launch the European Parliament's external liaison office in Ukraine, which will serve as a contact point to enhance cooperation with national parliaments, civil society, and local partners.
