The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Poland, Andrii Sybiha and Radosław Sikorski, held discussions regarding the violations of Poland's airspace by Russian drones.
This was reported on the social media platform X by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
«Before the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, consulted with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to NATO, Jacek Najder», the statement reads.
The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the safety of Polish citizens is a top priority.
Polish military forces shot down drones that repeatedly violated Poland's airspace on the night of September 10. One of the damaged drones was found in a field in the village of Chosnuwka near Biała Podlaska in the Lublin region.
The drone incursions were labeled an «act of aggression» in Poland, prompting an emergency security meeting. Polish President Karol Nawrocki announced that a briefing at the National Security Bureau would be held soon, involving Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
