Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to discuss vital defense issues pertaining to Ukraine and increasing pressure on the Russian Federation.
Shmyhal shared this update via Telegram, stating: «This meeting with the NATO Secretary General in London was extremely significant. Rutte's speech at the «Ramstein» format meeting once again confirmed NATO's determination to support Ukraine. We are very grateful for this support».
According to the minister, «we discussed urgent defense needs. I emphasized the effectiveness of the PURL support system, which already includes 11 nations. Our partners understand that the Kremlin has no intention of stopping. Therefore, it is essential to strengthen assistance to Ukraine and increase pressure on the aggressor. We coordinated our next steps».
«We appreciate NATO's role in establishing close coordination among partners, particularly in the «Ramstein» format. We look forward to further cooperation and enhancing our defense capabilities», Shmyhal added.
