On September 5, an important meeting took place in Uzhhorod between Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky and the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa. On the same day, negotiations with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, were also scheduled.

Details: On this day, Antonio Costa arrived in Uzhhorod, where he was warmly welcomed by Maternova.

"Many significant leaders are gathering in Uzhhorod. Today, the atmosphere here will be lively. I am pleased to welcome the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, to Transcarpathia," said the EU Ambassador.

She emphasized that together with President Zelensky, they would participate in the Congress of Regional Authorities to honor the resilience of Ukrainian communities and discuss their recovery and future in the EU.

According to a report from Ukrinform, Zelensky has already met with Costa.

"I would like to thank the President for being here today to support Ukraine. We are aware of your busy schedule, yet you found time to stand by us, and I appreciate your visit to this region," Zelensky added.
