A delegation of foreign consuls arrived in Bucha for an official visit. The diplomats honored the memory of those who died during the occupation of the city, demonstrating solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
Bucha hosted this delegation as part of the annual meeting of heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Ukraine. This year's event is themed "From the Strength of Diplomacy to the Diplomacy of Strength".
In a city that has become a symbol of the atrocities committed by the Russian army, the diplomats paid tribute to the memory of civilians and soldiers who perished due to the occupation. At the site of the Saint Andrew the Apostle Church, they were welcomed by the Mayor of Bucha, Anatoliy Fedoruk. He reminded everyone of the tragedy that unfolded in February-March 2022 when the community was under Russian military control.
The diplomats also visited the Alley of Heroes — a burial site for Ukrainian soldiers who died for freedom. They honored the fallen with a moment of silence.
“Today, diplomacy is not just about negotiations and official statements. It is a daily struggle for truth. And anyone who comes to Bucha sees what Ukraine is fighting for and why the world must stand united in this battle,” emphasized Anatoliy Fedoruk.
