The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has announced that Ukrainians living abroad will continue to use their operators' tariffs without incurring additional charges in 27 EU countries even after martial law is lifted.
As stated by the Ministry, Parliament has adopted bill No. 12150, which is the final legislative step toward initiating negotiations on the Roam like home (RLAH) policy.
This will facilitate easier collaboration and service exchange between Ukrainian and European operators. The NCC will gain the necessary authority to control network access and resolve disputes between operators, bringing Ukraine closer to full integration into the EU's Single Digital Market.
Once the law is signed by the President of Ukraine, the European Commission will assess the adopted laws, and then negotiations regarding joining the EU's roaming zone will commence.
Remember that RLAH is a service that allows calls, SMS, and data transfer included in Ukrainian operators' service packages without additional fees. At the same time, residents of EU countries will enjoy the same advantages while in Ukraine.
