The Republic of Korea will allocate $4.76 million to support the digital transformation of the Ukrainian government. The agreement was signed on April 14 in Kyiv by representatives of the UN Development Program (UNDP) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The funds will be used for a three-year project lasting until 2027, aimed at making government operations more efficient, transparent, and convenient for civil servants. The initiative will be implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, UNDP, and the Cabinet Secretariat.

“The goal of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is to simplify interactions with the state for both citizens and service providers. We are grateful to the Republic of Korea for supporting this important initiative that will help make the public sector more efficient,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology.

The project includes two key areas:

  • Updating digital tools for project management in ministries and creating electronic services for civil servants.
  • Training civil servants in digital skills to effectively use new systems.

One element of the project will be the implementation of a special service called Diia.Office for civil servants, which will help streamline administrative processes and improve inter-agency interactions.
