As a result of massive Russian shelling on the night of January 9, 42 long-distance and suburban trains are experiencing delays. This was reported by JSC «Ukrzaliznytsia» on Facebook.
«Despite a difficult night and heavy enemy shelling, the railway continues to operate. Currently, we are experiencing delays due to ice on the overhead lines. As a result, 42 trains are delayed – 18 long-distance and 24 suburban,» the statement reads.
The longest delays have been recorded for the following trains:
- №79/80 Lviv – Dnipro (delayed by 6 hours 42 minutes);
- №63/64 Przemysl – Kharkiv (delayed by 6 hours 17 minutes);
- №111/112 Lviv – Izyum (delayed by 6 hours 17 minutes);
- №5/6 Yasinya – Zaporizhzhia (delayed by 6 hours 7 minutes);
- №45/46 Kharkiv – Uzhhorod (delayed by 5 hours 45 minutes);
- №61/62 Dnipro – Ivano-Frankivsk (delayed by 5 hours 45 minutes);
- №41/42 Dnipro – Truskavets (delayed by 5 hours 41 minutes).

Additionally, train №766 Odesa – Kyiv will depart with an approximate delay of 2 hours and 30 minutes due to the delay of the returning train from the capital.
Ukrzaliznytsia assured that their operational services are working on solutions to restore train schedules as quickly as possible.
