Cybercriminals are once again targeting Ukrainians by sending fake emails about alleged debts to "Nova Poshta". This was reported by the company's press service.
"These emails have no connection to "Nova Poshta" or any other companies in the NOVA group", – emphasized the company.
The fraudsters are copying the company's logo, altering the sender's address, and pressuring individuals with fabricated debts to open attachments or click on links.
The company urged everyone to follow simple guidelines to stay safe:
- Verify the sender's email address. Emails from "Nova Poshta" only come from official domains. Pay attention to any suspicious changes or spelling errors.
- Do not open emails from unknown senders and avoid clicking on links.
- If you have opened a suspicious attachment or clicked on a dubious link, it is advisable to change your account passwords as soon as possible and check for any active sessions. If you detect any suspicious activity, terminate all unknown sessions through your account security settings.
- Enable two-factor authentication for your email, messaging apps, banking, and other important accounts — this significantly enhances protection against unauthorized access.
- If you receive such an email — move it to spam and delete it. This will help reduce the risk of further dissemination and protect other users.
"The cybersecurity unit of Nova Poshta is already working to halt this phishing campaign and is cooperating with relevant authorities and providers to limit the fraudsters' activities", – stated the message.
