A mural dedicated to Taras Davidyuk, a hero who lost his life in the war, has been unveiled on one of Kyiv's promenades.
This mural immortalizes the memory of journalist, soldier, and public figure Taras Davidyuk, who was the editor-in-chief of the «Horyn.info» website.
Taras died on the front lines while carrying out a combat mission, saving his fellow soldiers.
This occurred three years ago, on November 3, on the outskirts of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Educated as a political scientist, Taras was actively involved in public life and worked with the Plast organization.

He participated in the Russo-Ukrainian war from 2014 to 2019 and again from February 2022.
On September 29, he got engaged to Kyiv Plast member Tetiana Lushchenko... and returned to the front. Taras stated on his page: «There is nothing more important than the war today».
Initially, it was planned that the mural would be created in Rivne, but the wall for the project could not be approved there.
The Rivne city council imposed a temporary moratorium on the creation and dismantling of monumental art objects.
However, Taras's family was determined to see this project realized. «Despite all difficulties, Taras Davidyuk's mother wanted to see this project come to life,» said curator Yevheniya Fullen, as quoted by Suspilne.
The family financed the creation of the mural themselves.
Artists Vladyslav Pavlenko and Tina Didenko worked on the mural for four days, from November 8 to 11.
«Kyiv's promenade was the perfect place since it is a legal area for murals and did not require lengthy permits. «We had only a few days to work», — explained the artist.
Taras Davidyuk would have turned 39. He was a public figure since the early 2000s: a public activist, Plast member, political analyst, journalist, and youth mentor.
