Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, participated in the Food from Ukraine conference, where he discussed with Sultan Al Shamsi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, the initiative to establish agro-hubs. This represents a significant step for supporting Ukrainian producers.

The planned agro-hubs in the UAE will accept Ukrainian goods for further packaging and distribution to countries in need, including Gaza, Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, and others.

"This project will significantly enhance our logistics processes and effectively deliver food to those who need it most," the statement reads.

During the panel discussions at the conference, Vysotsky emphasized that the initiative «Grain from Ukraine» should be expanded into the «Food from Ukraine» concept, which includes not only supply but also the creation of technological solutions.

«Ukraine has long played a vital role in global food security. Despite the war, we have made significant food supplies to Asia, Africa, and Latin America, demonstrating our resilience and reliability as a partner,» he noted.

Earlier, it was reported that the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Food of Ghana signed an agreement to establish a center for processing Ukrainian products in West Africa.

On November 19, an international conference on food security titled «Food from Ukraine» was held in Kyiv, bringing together representatives from governments, international organizations, and businesses from around the world. More than 100 delegations, including those from African countries, participated in the event.

The conference also features the Agroexpo 2025 exhibition, showcasing over 50 stands from agricultural technology producers and Ukrainian processing enterprises.
